Reading is important for so many and Congleton MP, Sarah Russell, put this in the spotlight when she visited Alsager book Emproium recently.

Sarah, whose constituency includes Alsager, is known for her love of books and reading something she does regularly with her three children.
She saw the inside of Alsager Book Emporium located in a former methodist chapel in Alsager which sells thousands of donated books at bargain prices, with all proceeds going to Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum of Primitive Methodism.

Sarah said: "I'm proud that, as part of the Budget, the Government have put additional money into school libraries.

"Reading is such a pleasure, and one of my favourite things to do with my children. Truly nothing beats browsing a community-led bookshop like Alsager Book Emporium."
