Labour members will be protesting about the cost-of-living crisis outside the offices of Congleton MP, Fiona Bruce this weekend.

Congleton Constituency Labour Party, which includes Alsager, is demanding targeted action on the cost of living crisis and calling for an immediate general election.

They are holding a peaceful protest at Riverside in Mountbatten Way from 10 am until 12 noon on Saturday (November 5th).

A spokesperson said: "The local Labour team believe the Conservative Party has shown it no longer has a mandate to govern and that the British people deserve so much more than this revolving door of chaos.

"We believe much more needs to be done to tackle the cost-of-living crisis. The severity of the situation we face cannot be overstated. Lives and livelihoods are at risk.

Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak

"We believe the British public deserve a proper say on the country's future.

"Decisive action is needed and further essential measures must now be brought, including further targeted financial support for low income households.

"We must have the chance to compare the Tories' chaos with Labour's plans to sort out their mess, grow the economy for working people and rebuild the country for a fairer, greener future.

"If you believe there should be action on the cost-of-living crisis and/or want a general election to sort out this mess - then join us this Saturday at 10am and feel free to bring your own sign or placard."

They have set up a Facebook page with details on it - https://www.facebook.com/events/490350219693986/
