Simpson Judge are working with a successful, privately owned business who due to continued growth and increased workload are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance function.

A flexible approach to working is key in this role as the successful candidate will be required to work across the department.

Responsibilities:

· Bank postings and reconciliations on a weekly basis using Sage.

· Posting Purchase Ledger invoices & reconciling the ledger at month end, including balancing to supplier statements received.

· Generating payment proposals on Sage bi-monthly.

· Manual sales invoicing and ensuring the sales generated for the month are billed and completed in a timely manner and balancing the ledger at the end of the month.

· Generating reports and balancing for the Invoice Discounting process on a weekly basis.

· Reconciling sub-contraction postings on a monthly basis.

· Reporting to trial balance for review on a monthly basis.

· Journal processing and reconciliation of key nominal accounts on a monthly basis.

· Assist during company audits and year end reporting.

· Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.

Requirements:

· Advanced Excel (Formulas, Vlookups, Pivot Tables).

· Experience using Sage 200 would be beneficial but not essential.

· AAT Qualified (studying towards will also be considered).

· Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
