Dog lovers shared their waggiest moments with their four-legged friends at a new event in the town.

Alsager Civic, in partnership with Scruffy Mutts Snack Shack, held their first indoor dog show recently.

And the event, held last Sunday (September 8th) was a huge success, despite pouring rain.

Dog owners travelled from as far afield as Manchester to show off their four-legged friends at Alsager Civic.

And the event was such a success that organisers are already planning another one next year to keep the fun going.

A spokesperson said: "A few hours full of fun, barks and waggy tails - the Civic Hall was buzzing with a mix of dog breeds, costumes, and their human companions.

"A very well-behaved group of dogs competing for numerous awards. Vets for Pets helped judge alongside Scruffy Mutts and the Alsager Civic Manager.

"The bar and cafe were open throughout and various vendors were selling dog treats, accessories and personalised goods.

"With the addition of Alsager Animals in Need charity stall and Ice and Fire visuals doing professional photos for each contestant in the side room."

"After interest being shown for a future event, we are already looking at dates for next year. So, keep an eye out for a date going forward!"
