An emerging band recommended by Sir Paul McCartney to play at Glastonbury 2022 have performed in Crewe - delivering a high-energy performance.

Hardwicke Circus hit the stage at Crewe Alexandra's Railwaymen Bar and Lounge, Gresty Road, last night (September 15).

The five-piece band from Carlisle performed a 90-minute set - getting the lively sell-out crowd on their feet and dancing the night away.

"We do prisons, canal boats, theatres, festivals and we could definitely try more football grounds.

"If the clubs promote us, then it's a great avenue for building our name.
