Cheshire East's free walk-in health and well-being service is coming to Alsager on Friday (February 3rd) and residents are being invited to check it out!

The bus was in Waitrose car park today in Sandbach today and will be outside the Cedars Medical Centre in Sandbach Road South from 10 am until 3 pm this Friday.

A spokesperson for the service said: "Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia.

"The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family."

The free wellbeing check is like an MOT for your body, health, and wellbeing and takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

The check includes:

  • blood pressure checks
  • heart screening
  • advice on:
  • alcohol consumption
  • diabetes
  • diet and healthy eating
  • healthy wellbeing
  • living with Covid (importance of vaccinations, vaccination clinic availability, Covid-19 LFT kits)
  • mental health (including Mentell)
  • physical activity, exercise and fitness
  • stopping smoking
  •
