An Alsager resident has been co-opted back on to Alsager Town Council after stepping down earlier this year due to commitments.

Rachel White first became an Alsager town councillor in 2021 to the council following the resignation of Councillor Sue Helliwell due to health reasons.

Rachel, who covered central ward, was previously assistant manager at Alsager Community Support.

In her resignation in January this year, Rachel said she had enjoyed her work with the town council but needed to step down.

Rachel, an independent, will serve Alsager East Ward during this term in office.

Cllr White said: "I have missed council involvement and now have a strict regime to prevent council affairs taking up too much time!"
