Former Alsager site manager notches up anoter prestigious award

The former site manager of a development in Alsager has won a national award for the quality of homes being built on the site.
Liam Jones (34) site manager at David Wilson Homes' Kings Park developments, has won a Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC), an award known as the 'Oscars' of the housebuilding industry.
In total, site managers working for David Wilson Homes' parent company, Barratt Redrow Plc, have won 115 Pride in the Job awards this year alone – more than any other housebuilder.
Liam Jones, from Shavington near Crewe, has been working for David Wilson Homes for over five years. He now oversees construction at the Kings Park but was previously based at Scholar's Place in Alsager.

He said: "This is my second award as a Site Manager. I believe that consistency has helped me achieve this award as we have been working extremely hard at the development for several years, and I think raising the bar in terms of standards is what has shone through this year - not just at the moments that matter, but throughout the entire build duration.
"We have paid very close attention to ensure we get all the finer details right, which makes a huge difference and can often separate a good manager from a winning manager."
The awards recognise the top 5% of site managers across the country, with around 8,200 sites being entered into the awards annually, and only 450 winners. Each is judged on a strict criteria including technical expertise, health and safety, leadership and attention to detail.
