Firefighters were called to a caravan and hedge on fire in Rode Heath at the weekend.

A crew from Congleton went to Sycamore Avenue at 4.39 pm on Saturday and used a hose reel to cool and dampen down the hedge and side of the caravan.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Slight heat damage was detected on the side of the caravan so the crew removed panels to check for fire spread, which hadn't occurred.

"The next door garage was also inspected for fire spread. The cause of the fire was accidental."
