Firefighters say small woodland fire is thought to have been started deliberately

Firefighters were called to a small fire in woodland off Lodge Lane in Alsager.

They used a water backpack to put out the blaze at 8.50 pm on Sunday night.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
