Firefighters spent four hours last night (Friday) at the scene of an incident in Rode Heath.

Fire engines from Alsager, Sandbach and Congleton plus the rapid response rescue unit from Alsager went to the blazer in Bibby Street at 9.30 pm.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: "Multiple reports were received about two caravans and a shed on fire.

"Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel water jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to monitor the temperature of nearby gas cylinders. "

"All persons were accounted for. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews were at the scene for around four hours."
