Fire service called after small fire involving household waste entered nearby houses

One fire engine from Crewe went to put out a rubbish fire in The Avenue last night (Sunday). 

Firefighters went to the blaze at 4.34 pm. 

A spokesperson from Cheshire fire & Rescue Service said: "A small fire involving household waste was put out by firefighters using a hose reel jet.  

"Although controlled, smoke was entering nearby houses."
