Firefighters had to use air bags to free a casualty trapped under a vehicle in the car park at Asda.

Two fire engines from Crewe went to the incident at 1.30 pm on Saturday (December 16th) in Lawton Road.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a casualty trapped under a vehicle in the car park of a retail store in Alsager.

"Crews used air bags and wedges to lift the car and free the person from under the vehicle.

"The casualty was then handed into the care of attending paramedics."
