An Alsager man is busy adding the finishing touches to a charity darts knockout to raise cash for cancer sufferers.

Aaran Powell's uncle Terry Taylor, who was in his 50s, sadly died from cancer and for the last few years, Arran has held a charity darts match.

And on December 27th, the match will once again go ahead this year taking place at the Linley Tavern.

In the past, the event has raised a bumper £1,891 and £1,198 for Douglas MacMillan and Arran is hoping to raise even more this year.

"We have held the event for several years and this year we want to raise even more. Local businesses and shops have kindly donated raffle prizes but it would be great to have more.

"Every year it gets bigger and better and we're so pleased with the event. We just want to raise as much money as possible," said Aaran. Further details are available here

The fee to take part in the knockout is £20 but it's free to go to the event. Further details about are available from Arran Powell on 07765 803618.
