Crowds turned out to party in a fun day in front of Alsager Civic as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

A town crier, face painter, dance group, balloon artist and stalls galore filled the space in front of Alsager Civic.

2493 (Alsager) Squadron Air Cadets and Alsager Community Support were among the groups to take part in the big event.

And Alsager even had a town crier for the occasion - Congleton's Deputy assistant Town Crier, Rob Morton.

He told the audience: "First of all I would like to thank Congleton Town Council for giving me permission to 'cross the border' to attend this fantastic Jubilee event.

"It's an honour to be here today and fantastic to see so many families attending the event which has been so well put together by the fantastic team you have in Alsager."

Alsager Town Council's outgoing Chair, Cllr Michael Unett was there for the big day which saw the sun shine.

Carrie Dempsey, Alsager Civic and Institute's deputy manager said: "It's was an amazing occasion and we're absolutely delighted with how it went."
