Engineers sent to Alsager following reports of raw sewage pouring out of manhole cover

A water company has sent engineers to Alsager following reports of raw sewage pouring out of a manhole cover.

United Utilities' engineers have been sent to Talke Road, Alsager, after wastewater and excrement was allegedly seen coming out of a manhole cover and onto the pavement earlier today (Monday).

A spokesperson for United Utilities told Nub News: "We have been notified of the sewer flooding on Talke Road, Alsager and are sending our engineers to the site to investigate."
