Discarded cigarette thought to have started bin fire in Alsager

A discarded cigarette is thought to have started a bin fire in Alsager at the weekend.
Firefighters were called to Brookhouse Road at 1.39 pm yesterday (Sunday).
A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a bin on fire in Alsager.
"This is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette."
