An award-winning singer songwriter who grew up in Alsager but who now lives near Sandbach is appearing in a live performance in a local church.

Rob Wheeler, who picked up the Songwriter of the Year in the ARC Radio Listener awards last year, is in concert at St Bertoline's Church, Barthomley on December 3rd.

Rob Wheeler, who lives in Haslington, is recently back from Nashville in America recording his new album and he can't wait to play some of the new songs.

Rob, who went to Alsager School and built his own recording studio at home, comes from a generation of musicians and is a huge fan of Christmas time.

He said: "Christmas is important for me and I genuinely love it because my mum made it such a special time of year for me as a youngster.

"I can't wait for this show to play some of my new songs and to play some Christmas music. I just love Christmas."

Last November, Rob launched his third album 'Midwinter Songs'.

Tickets for the concert cost £12 each and are available from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/northernskypromotions/t-qjmjmel?fbclid=IwAR2Jtv1civU4n5H71bYPcoMQi6CP3dUJFkj414m03mpgduBqA5tqYouXKI0
