Cheshire East Council has said it is aware of an unauthorised encampment which has pitched up at the BAE Systems site.

A number of caravans have arrived at the BAE Systems site on Radway Green Road.

Both Cheshire East and Cheshire Police have been made aware of the encampment, but as the encampment is on privately-owned land, they can only contact the landowners (BAE Systems) to offer advice and support.

A spokesperson for Cheshire East Council said: "As the encampment is on privately-owned land we have contacted the landowners to offer advice and support.

"We have also requested that Cheshire police attend the location, to remind the group about travel restrictions."

BAE Systems has contacted Nub News and insisted that they do not own the land in question.
