An Alsager pub has a new accolade to its name – CAMRA'S Cheshire County Pub of the Year 2004.

The Lodge Inn in Crewe Road was named South Cheshire Pub of the Year for the second year running in March.

Now it has been voted Cheshire County Pub of the Year 2024 and goes forward to face the Merseyside Pub of the Year for the regional title.

A presentation of the award is being arranged for August.

A spokesperson from South Cheshire CAMRA branch said: "Best of luck to The Lodge which will now go forward to represent Cheshire against the Merseyside winner to find the Regional Pub of the Year in the next stage of the competition"

Alsager Nub News revealed here how the Lodge Inn is run by Sarah and Carl Smith.
