Alsager Music Festival takes to the stage this weekend and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Since launching in 2009, the annual event, which opens this year on Saturday (July 16th) has become one of the best small festivals in Cheshire, offering a range of music and acts across multiple stages.

As in previous years, the family-friendly festival will have a wide variety of food and drink stalls as well as people being able to bring their own refreshments with them.

A spokesperson said: "We really think that this year is going to be the best festival we've ever put on.

"We have a new sound system for Stath's Stage and The Mere Inn. We've got a wide range of outlets and a range of drink offerings as well.

"Most importantly, we've lined up some absolutely fantastic performers across four stages on Saturday and three venues on Sunday.

"There's plenty of people to thank as usual including Alsager Town Council, Cheshire East Council., Cheshire Police, Alsager Round Table and Alsager Partnership and the pubs that are hosting the event on Sunday.

"We'd also like to thank our advertisers and all the volunteers and the committee members who put so much of their time and effort into organising this fantastic weekend.

"We can be found online at www.alsagermusicfestival. Co.uk and you can follow us on social media over the whole weekend using @am/22
