Alsager Town Football Club has appointed new faces to lead the first team in what is hoped will be a new start.

The club parted company with Ricardo Reeves, who had only been with the club a month ago, at the weekend after a bad 5 – 1 defeat to Cammel Laird.

Alsager has appointed Karl Brown as first team manager, Liam Marsh as assistant manager and Josh Shepherd as coach to lead their first team who face Stockport Town tonight (Tuesday).

And today the chairman, Terry Greer, urged fans to come and support the club in what he promised was a "long term" appointment.

He told Alsager Nub News: "We have had a disastrous season from day one but I can assure you that this is a long-term appointment.

"I was advised badly with my last appointment but I am confident we will now see a change.

"I am urging supporters to come and support the new managers and players and help us move forward.

"Come and enjoy the football and help your local team stay in this league."

This appointment is the third one this season and will be Alsager Town's fourth names leading the first team.

Ricardo Reeves took over from Noel Dempsey who left after being with the club for just four months.

Prior Noel, the Bullets were managed by Brian Wilson who left to spend more time with his family.

The Bullets are based at Wood Park Stadium in Alsager and are currently members of North West Counties League Division One.
