Alsager Town Council has announced it is launching a campaign to bring businesses closer to the heart of local decision making.

The town council is launching a 'Business Working Group', and is urging all businesses to join.

A spokesperson said: "Whether you run a shop or business on Crewe Road or Lawton Road, manage a local service, or operate a business from home, this is your opportunity to have a meaningful say in how our town supports and develops its business community.

"This is a cross-party initiative with the full support of the whole of the town councile. The four Councillors who sit on the group bring a range of business experience and all share a common goal: to make Alsager a better place to do business."

Alsager Town Council has organised an informal meeting at Alager Civic on Friday, 9 January at 10am and is urging as many businesses as possible to attend.

"This is an opportunity to meet councillors and council staff over a cup of coffee, learn more about the Town Council's work and hear about our plans for the Business Working Group," the spokesperon added.

"Most importantly, we want to hear from you - your opinions, input, and thoughts are invaluable to making this initiative a success.

"We recognise that nobody understands the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses better than the people running them day-to-day.

"The Working Group will give you a direct line to the town council on matters that affect you, from town centre improvements and parking to planning policies and local events.

"It will also provide a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and work collaboratively to make Alsager a better place to do business.

Businesses wanting to attend are asked to drop an email to [email protected]
