Alsager Churches stepped up to offer a service that had been impacted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, celebrated from 18th to 25th January, involves Christian communities from many traditions and all parts of the globe.

Each year there is a different theme set by Christian communities of different traditions from around the world.

The 2021 theme was Abiding In Christ, and it was prepared by the sisters of the Community of Grandchamp in Switzerland.

The theme "Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit" allowed the community's 50 sisters from diverse confessions and countries to share the wisdom of their contemplative life abiding in the love of God.

In normal times, there would have been a Cheshire United Service on the Sunday of the week of prayer.

This year that was not possible, so a group from Alsager Churches Together gathered to record the service which can be viewed here.
