Alsager Round Table has said a big thank you to everyone who went along to their firework extravaganza last weekend and has announced the exciting line-up for next Sunday's big switch-on which begins earlier this year.

Around 3,000 people turned up to their annual fundraising fireworkwork display on land at The Plough last weekend (8 November) and now they are preparing for the big Christmas lights switch-on next Sunday (23 November).

Chairman, Daz Antrobus said: "We had one of the best ever turnouts for the annual bonfire display and we'd like to thank everyone who came along and reminding everyone that Christmas lights switch-on next weekend starts earlier at 3.30 pm.

"It's going to be bigger and better than ever before with live music, the fairground, over 100 stalls and the Christmas market and Santa's grotto inside Alsager Civic.

"Come along and enjoy the fun. It's a free event with Santa and a special guest turning the Christmas lights on at 6 pm. We've got two excellent live music sets plus DJ Dan providing the entertainment."

The fun starts at 3.30 pm when the Christmas market will open inside Alsager Civic and the first of two live music sets starts at 3.30 pm.

Sandbach's very own Jon Stevens opens the event and will be on stage at 3.30 pm with a one hour set followed by male vocalist Ben Staz with another one hour set from 4.30 pm until 5.30 pm.
