An Alsager restauranteur has thanked diners who have supported the business after it was forced to temporarily close when a car 'collided' with the front.

Caster's in Lawton Road closed temporarily after a white BMW X3 collided with street furniture and the front of the restaurant in the early hours of July 1st.

Alsager Nub News told here how an appeal for information had been launched.

The restaurant re-opened last Wednesday (July 12th) and has launched a new app for customers, giving a discount.

Caster's spokesperson, Brad Lancaster told Alsager Nub News: "It was mentally and physically draining for the first few days after the incident, not knowing what was going on.

"We have had measurements for the front corner of the restaurant for new frames/windows and menu boards but this could take weeks to repair.

"We are ongoing with our insurance but unfortunately we won't see any finance for several months."

But Brad said customers had responded well.

"The opening went well. It was great to see faces back in the restaurant with our new app being launched.

"It was also great to see our customers using all their discounts and offers."
