Do you know anyone with dementia or are you looking after someone who has just been diagnosed with it?

Alsager Partnership is flying the flag for Dementia Action Week which began yesterday (Monday) and continues until Sunday (May 22nd).

And there's plenty happening this week to get involved in and make new friends or get support from others.

Dementia Action Week is about raising awareness and uniting people, workplaces, schools and communities to take action and improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Alsager Partnership said "Having dementia shouldn't mean an isolated life. We all have a role to play in making the UK a dementia-friendly place to live and that's what Dementia Action Week is all about.

"Every month we have a group that has been coming together throughout Covid via zoom."

Tomorrow (April 18th) Alsager Partnership has an information stall at Wednesday's Market in Asda car park, on Thursday a Zoom session and on Friday a "memory" café in Alsager Library.

For more information contact Kath Reader at [email protected] or Lou on 07825 77691.

Dementia Action Week is the Alzheimer Society's biggest and longest running awareness campaign.

The theme for this year's campaign is 'diagnosis'.
