An Alsager painter and decorator has helped four times breast cancer survivor, Judith Colclough, raise hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Dave Woodward from DWPD in Alsager donated a day's painting or decorating as one of the raffle prizes for a coffee morning Judith arranged at Sandbach United Football Club on Friday.
Dave's partner, Jill Dale, is one of Judith's best friends and he says he was delighted to get involved in the event, part of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning,
Dave said: "You can't begin to imagine what Judith has been through but there's no pain in me donating my time for a day for this cause. I am delighted to help.
"Judith never stopped smiling even when she was ill and it's a real credit to see her doing this and helping others. She's an amazing woman."
Dozens of people turned out to the event today at The CrossBar at Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road for the event organised by Judith Colclough, wife of chairman Peter Colclough.
Judith's neighbours rallied round to bake cakes for the occasion while friends donated raffle prizes, time and talents for the occasion including guitar playing neighbour Ian Rendle who kept the audience entertained.
Judith, who has beaten breast cancer four times, each time being treated at The Christie, has held a coffee morning for the last seven years to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.
She said: "I'm just so grateful to everyone who came and helped. I am a survivor and so pleased to be able to run these events. Last year I held it at the end of my drive but this year we've been able to do this."
