Alsager Library is launching a games club with a beetle drive next week.

"Many people have happy memories of attending beetle drives and we are hoping that we can recreate that pleasure for people," said librarian Alex Clarke.

"The Focus is on fun at Games Club! We don't want to put people's spelling, mental arithmetic or general knowledge under the spotlight, just come along and give it a go.

"People assume that you have to be a member of the library to attend our events but you don't.' added Ms Clarke

"Although, of course, we'd be delighted if you did join! New people are always welcome at our events.

"We know how nerve-wracking it can be to walk into a room full of people, so we can arrange for you to be met by a member of staff and discretely introduced.' Alex added.

The games club takes place next Thursday (March 31st) from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
