Alsager town centre is awash with colour this weekend to celebrate an action-packed Pride in Alsager day today.

Businesses got into the swing of things by putting rainbow displays of balloons and streamers in their windows to join in the fun.

Pride in Alsager has organised two events today (Saturday). The first is a 'flash mob' parade.

There will be music, dance, wave rainbows and whistles through the town starting at 12.30 pm near the Spar Alsager in Crewe Road.

The group will then walk down Ashmore's Lane, along Station Road, finishing up at Milton Park where some members are planning to picnic.

Pride in Alsager are continuing their day of celebrations with an evening event tonight (Saturday 9th October) at Alsager Social Club from 6pm - 1 am.

Entertainment includes the Double Denim Company, Hayley Elliott, Slugs Ate My Parents and Ruby Von-Trappe as well as a raffle.

Tickets are available from Alsager Social Club and Paradox Vapes.
