Happy International Women's Day to all women in Alsager!

It's celebrated annually on March 8th and commemorates the social, political and economic achievements of women.

The theme this year is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow" with the hashtag #BreakTheBias.

The first National Woman's Day was celebrated in the United States on February 28th. 1909.

It was a day dedicated to honour the 1908 garment workers' strike in New York when women showed their anger against the harsh working conditions.

What are you doing today to celebrate? Let Alsager Nub News know - we'd love to hear!
