Alsager firefighters help extinguish caravan fire near railway line

Alsager firefighters were called to a caravan on fire near a railway line in Astbury.

One fire engine from Congleton and one from Alsager went to the blaze at around 8.26 pm last night at the junction pf Dodds Lane and Mow Lane.    

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A caravan on fire near a railway line was extinguished with a hose reel.

"Crews hot spotted the area and damped down the area before leaving."
