An Alsager coffee shop is celebrating after making it into a prestigious guide for coffee lovers – less than a year after opening.

Home Coffee & Studio in Lawton Road has been included in the latest edition of the Indy Coffee Guide –a coffee connoisseur's guide to speciality coffee houses.

The book has a map of where to find the best independent coffee shops for caffeine 'hit' – including Alsager's Home Coffee & Studio.

Architect, Alex Melhuish, and wife Nikki, wanted to create a 'home from home' atmosphere as we revealed here when they opened in August last year.

Alex said: "We're very excited to be included in the latest edition of the Indy Coffee Guide , the go-to guide for lovers of characterful coffee shops, serving the best brews and food.

"The book is a comprehensive catalogue of some of the best coffee shops and roasters throughout the Midlands and the North of England.

"Copies are on sale in our shop if want to buy a copy."
