An Alsager coffee shop has joined the growing band of cafes offering 'acts of kindness' for those in need.

Sandbach's Gibsons' Greengrocer's & Deli and Wild & Wild in Congleton both offer a gifted, 'buy ahead' drink scheme.

And now Alsager's Home Coffee & Studio is also offering this service, which means customers can pay forward.

A spokesperson for the Lawton Road coffee shop said: "It was clear from when we opened that our customers were a special bunch.

"The politeness and kindness shown to each other while in our Home is joyful to see.

"Some of our customers have even taken it upon themselves to extend that kindness further by enacting a "pay it forward" scheme.

"Therefore we are banking free drinks, donated by customers, to give to those who need them most.

"If you would like to donate or if you know someone who would benefit from this random act of kindness, ask at the bar for a free drink voucher so we can pay it forward to them."

Architect Alex set up the business with his wife Nikki

Home & Coffee Studio was set up earlier this year by architect Alex Melhuish and his wife Nikki.

The aim was to create a 'home from home' atmosphere providing a welcoming place for people to meet.
