Alsager club celebrates its 50th anniversary year in style

An Alsager club which is part of the Round Table family and is celebrating a milestone birthday this year is appealing for members to join them.

The ladies in Alsager Tangent support Round Table, Ladies Circle and 41 Club in raising funds for local and international charities

During 2023 Alsager Tangent is celebrating 50 years of affiliation with the National Association of Tangent Clubs - part of the International Round Table family.

In November they will be supporting the One World Day which, this year, is held on Saturday 4th November. Later the same day they will be supporting, along with volunteers from other local clubs, the annual Alsager Bonfire.

In December they will be decorating a Christmas tree at the Wesley Place Tree Festival, helping Santa on his sleigh raising funds for local residents plus helping with the Alsager Light Switch On.

In August they held a summer BBQ at the home of one of their members; attended with partners and the afternoon was a huge success. in September.

In December, they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in December with a 'golden' Christmas party.

Chair, Melanie Edwards said: "Come and join us; Alsager Tangent has over 50 members and the age range is between 45 and 90.

"A lot of our members have moved to Alsager from out of area and have made friends through Tangent or Ladies Circle before.
