Animal lover, Heidi Moore, has come up with the 'purrfect' idea for helping to keep your four-legged friends happy.

The 44-year-old mother-of-one from Alsager has launched a business, Active Tails, to provide dog walking and pet sitting for dogs and cats.

Heidi has always had animals and currently has a cat of her own, but loves other people's animals as much as her own.

Active Tails is only two months' old but already Heidi has a growing list of customers for whom she walks their dogs and pet sits.

"I've always wanted to run my own business and it's going really well," she said.

"I grew up with dogs and love everything about animals. I provide a service so people have a choice about catteries or kennels."

Heidi, who grew up in Alsager and went to Alsager School, provides a dog walking service, often early in the morning or later in the day.

"It's so important to keep pets healthy and happy. The word is really getting round and it's going better than I expected," she said.

Heidi does regular dog walks for clients and also provides a service where she will stay with the pet overnight if the owner or owners are away.

"I post regular updates to my Instagram and Social Media so owners can see their pets while they're away," Heidi added.

"I follow their normal routine. I'm looking after a Dachshund puppy this weekend."

Heidi says she will look at taking someone else on if the business carries on growing. More details about Active Tails can be found on the website here and the Facebook page here
