Alsager and District Foodbank has said a big thank you to all the donations they have received during harvest festival from local school children and churches.

Donations have come from a range of places including Highfields School, Christchurch, the Good Shepherd Church, All Saints Odd Rode, Excalibur School, St Mary's Church and Cranberry School.

The 3rd Alsager Guides did and budget and shop project and donated items they bought while Alsager Rainbows not only helped but made a card.

A spokesman from Alsager and District Food bank said: "We thank you all so much as you are all stars in helping to stock us up as we are still getting new referrals each week.

"We really are so grateful to everyone who has given."

The food bank provides emergency food and support to the local community of Alsager, Rode Heath, Oakhanger, Church Lawton and Scholar Green.

It works with front line services providing emergency food for people in times of crisis.
