It's a Bank Holiday weekend and there's lots happening in and around Alsager from a bluebell walk to a craft and gift fair and live music.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, April 29th

The famous Bluebell Walk at Rode Hall, Scholar Green opened on Wednesday (April 27th) and runs until May 7th from from 11am - 4pm (closed on May 3rd only). All details on their website here

Tickets can be pre-booked online or purchased on the gate, on the day. The courtyard kitchen cafe is be open selling homemade cakes, soups, oak cakes, sausage and bacon baps. Dogs on leads are welcome.

At Bank Corner it's time to party. DJ Gary O will be spinning the decks from 9pm until 2am.

At Ey Up Duck, Gavin Allport is appearing from 8pm until 10pm while at The 13 Club, there's something for Motown fans. Griff will be playing mostly Motown with a little disco and Northern soul from 7.30 pm until midnight.

Saturday, April 30th        

Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors.

The Whirligig Wild Boot camp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group.

At Alsager Civic there's a craft and gift fair from 9 am until 1 pm. There will be a range of local artisans, crafters, makers, creators, designers and small businesses, selling items you can't find on the high street. Admission is free.

In the evening, Bank Corner has "Bounce with DJ Mavx". Bring your dancing shoes and have a boogie!

At Ey up Duck, Spice Forever, the Spice Girls' tribute is on from 8pm – 10 pm.

Sunday, May 1st

Bank Corner has Sunday DJ Gary O bringing some May Day madness until 2am

Meanwhile at Ey Up Duck there's Memory Lane from 3 pm until 5 pm. 

In the evening, Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
