It's a fun-filled weekend ahead in Alsager and there's lots happening from a bluebell walk to casino and cocktails night and live music.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, May 6th

The famous Bluebell Walk at Rode Hall, Scholar Green and runs until tomorrow (May 7th) from 11am - 4pm. All details on their website www.rodehall.co.uk

Tickets can be pre-booked online https://bit.ly/3iusJQEP or purchased on the gate, on the day. The courtyard kitchen cafe is be open selling homemade cakes, soups, oak cakes, sausage and bacon baps. Dogs on leads are welcome.

At the Thirteen Club, Fine & Dandy play jazz and swing favourites. Tickets cost £5.

At Ey Up Duck, the artist formerly known as Folk Boy aka Luke De-Sciscio, one not to be missed, plays a gig from 8pm.

Saturday, May 7th         

Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors.

The Whirligig Wild Boot camp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group.

If you like outdoor markets, Rode Hall in Scholar Green has its Bluebell farmers market on from 9am until 1.30  pm. Over 70 artisan food and craft stalls socially distanced in the spacious barns and surroundings. 

Live music and the courtyard kitchen will be serving homemade cakes, bacon and sausage baps, oatckaes and refreshments and it's the last day of the bluebell walks.   

At Bank Corner, "Bounce" is on 9 pm until 2am with DJ MAVX, playing house grooves and club surrounds.

At Alsager Social Club, the Chair of Alsager Town Council, Cllr Michael Unett, holds his charity cocktail and casino night.

In aid of his charities for 2021-22: Alsager Food Bank, British Heart Foundation and White Ribbon UK, tickets cost £30 which food and a drink upon entry.

At Alsager Civic, there's a classic rock night featuring Double Denim band who will be on stage at 8pm . Tickets cost £10 and are available online or from Alsager Civic box office.    

Meanwhile at the Thirteen Club there's a Quiz Night with team of four, covering general knowledge, trivia, sport, music and TV.  

And last but not least – the Laughing Duck Comedy Night is at Ey Up Duck with Noel James and Brian and Krystal. Tickets £12.50 in advance and £15 on the door.

Sunday, May 8th

At Ey Up Duck, Ben Maitland is live between 3pm and 5 pm. Entry is free.  

In the evening, Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
