Crowds gathered at Alsager's Cenotaph to watch today's poignant Remembrance service and parade.

The parade will moved off at around 2.30pm from Alsager Civic car park, marching to the War Memorial in Sandbach Road South.

Congleton MP, Fiona Bruce, was among a long list of people to lay a wreath at the War Memorial. The list included Alsager PIkemere Townswomen's Guild, Tritton Hockey Club, the Labour Party and Churches Together.

After the ceremony, the parade reformed and marched to St Mary's Church, Crewe Road, for the Remembrance Service, starting at 3pm.
