The Bullets take on rival town Congleton today in a pre-season friendly

Alsager Town Football Club will be hoping to put all their troubles of last season behind them when they play a pre-season friendly today (Saturday) against local rivals Congleton Football Club.
The Bullets has a chequered season last year avoiding relegation zone but have their sights set on the next season and further changes.
The club, members of the North West Counties League Division One South, finished 18th in the table – three from the bottom.
They have had four first team managers last season and revealed that plans are afoot to make improvements pending the result of two grants they are applying for.

Chairman, Terry Greer, who has been with the Wood Park Stadium club since 2011, say last season was been "one of the toughest" but they have come through stronger than ever.
He says the appointment of new management towards the end of the season helped and he is confident the club can make some ground improvements pending grant application bids.
Let's hope that the 2022/2023 season brings great things for The Bullets.
