A group set up to help stroke survivors in Alsager and Crewe has passed another milestone - launching a new website.

Stroke Survivors speech language support group set up a group for Alsager in May this year.

Now the organisation, which also has a branch in Crewe, has launched a new more 'user-friendly' website

The site, which can be accessed at https://www.stroke.org.uk/finding-support/clubs-and-groups/stroke-survivors-speech-and-language-groupis "work in progress" say the group.

And now they are asking stroke survivors to tell them what they think and make suggestions about how it could be taken forward.

"We are excited to announce that we now have our new website up and running with a special thank you to Martin from MCM2 Ltd," said Stroke Survivors founder and lead volunteer, Liz Bedson.

"We have focused on making it user friendly with lots of interesting information and links to organisations that can support stroke survivors.

"The new look ties in with our already established groups and looks appealing on the eye to draw users into accessing it.

"At the click of a button you can access all the relevant information to help you access help financially from the government, accessing support from other resources and also useful tips with coping with a stroke after leaving hospital and the rehabilitation system. "

The Alsager group meets on Thursdays between 10.30 am and 12 noon at the Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue.
