Friday, November 8th

Start the weekend off with a great event - live music at the Mere Inn. The Vanz are playing from 8.30 pm - gritty hard blues rock and classic rock. Don't miss it!

Want a good book to read? Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road. They have a book on almost every subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books. It's open Friday 10 am–2 pm and Saturdays 10 am–2 pm.

Saturday, November 9th

Two great coffee mornings in Alsager.

Alsager Ladies Lifeboat Guild has its Christmas coffee morning in aid of the RNLI at St Mary's Church.

Drop in for a drink and a mince pie and do a spot of Christmas shopping! Crafts, gifts, cakes, RNLI goods and more from 10.30 am until 12 noon.

At Alsager Civic, it's Alsager Animals in Need has its monthly coffee morning from 9.30 am until 12 noon. Go along and enjoy a coffee and meet new friends!

In the evening, Alsager Rotary Club is hosting a charity evening at Alsager Golf Club, Linley. Tickets are £15 each which includes chilli or lobby with crusty bread. All proceeds to 'Hope and Homes for Children'.

Sunday, November 10th

It's the Remembrance parade so a busy day in Alsager.

Several roads are closed in Alsager from 2.20 pm until 3.15 pm while the parade takes place -

Ashmores Lane (for its full extent)

Lawton Road (Wesley Avenue to Crewe Road)

Sandbach Road North (Crewe Road to Green Drive)

Sandbach Road South (Lawton Road to Fields Road)

Crewe Road (Lawton Road to The Avenue)

The Avenue (for its full extent)
