From celebrity chef, James Martin, to Rode Hall near Alsager – no wonder stall holder Henry Cooke is smiling.

Visitors to Saturday's Rode Hall Spring Market couldn't believe their eyes when they stumbled upon the Clotton Hall Dairy stand.

For hidden amongst the row of stalls at the busy farmer's market was something of a celebrity clotted cream which has just made it on to TV.

James Martin featured the yummy award-winning clotted cream in an item on this week's Saturday Morning show about scones.

A partner at the sixth generation Clotton Hall Dairy, Henry said: "We held various Zoom meetings with James and talked him through the product and business.

Henry explained that he had met James Martin at a cheese event in October and the company's products had been spotted by the celebrity chef.

He said said: "We're so thrilled to have been able to take part in the show and for viewers to see our wonderful products."

And despite making it on to TV this weekend, Henry was determined not to miss out on helping to run the Clotton Hall Dairy stand at the Rode Hall event on Saturday.

"It will certainly help being featured on TV. We're delighted to have been featured on James' show."

A sixth-generation farming family, Clotton Hall Dairy based in Tarporley, works with its free range cows to produce the perfect creamy milk to make the dairy products.

Clotton Hall launched the award-winning Cheshire clotted cream in 2017 which is sold to shops, cafes and other eateries across the North West.

Following on from the success of the Cheshire Clotted Cream, the business launched fresh custard and clotted cream rice pudding to expand the range.
