Organisers of Pride in Alsager are busy preparing their big event in October and are promising it will be bigger and better than ever.

Building on from last year's success, Pride in Alsager is planning an event on Saturday, October 1st.

And they are appealing for any musicians or performers who would like to get involved with the event to get in touch with them.

Starting with a march through the town from 12pm, the event will include an afternoon of entertainment at Alsager Cricket Club and evening events at local venues.

Wendy Campbell, spokesperson for Pride in Alsager said: "Once again, local businesses will be invited to take part by showing their support with rainbow and LGBT+ themed window decorations."

Last year, several businesses in Alsager decorated their windows with rainbow colours.

"Acts for the stage are being finalised, promising a variety of music and entertainment," she added.

"A range of stalls and refreshments will be on hand throughout the afternoon.

"Pride in Alsager would love to hear from local musicians and performers, especially young people, who would like to take part.

Any businesses and charities who would like to host a stall or offer food at the event should contact Jo at [email protected]
