An Alsager coffee shop which is part of part of a council-wide scheme to help people with the cost-of-living crisis is recruiting.

Architect, Alex Melhuish, who opened Home Coffee & Studio in Lawton Road with wife Nikkki in Alsager last summer, is already taking on more staff.

Alex said: "We're expanding our cool crew and looking for newly sought after team members."

The business recently advertised for a barista to work weekends principally but with the potential to work weekdays.

Alex designed the interior of the popular venue himself based on a Scandinavian-style and a 'home from home'

Home Coffee & Studio joined Cheshire East Council's 'Warm Places' scheme late last year to help people struggling.

'Warm PlaCEs' are spaces where people can go, free of charge, to spend time to keep warm if they are struggling to heat or keep their homes warm.
