Members of Sandbach and Alsager methodist churches joined together to hear a presentation on the findings of an in-depth report into the life and work of their churches.

Altogether seven churches took part including Unity Methodist in Wesley Avenue where the meeting took place in the church hall.

An independent-led charity, Transforming Churches and Communities (TCC), was appointed to carry out research into the churches across Sandbach and Alsager.

Abi Parr, from Transforming Churches and Communities said: "Each of the seven churches is a diamond and there is something to be proud of in every one of the churches."

A steering group was set up to investigate how the group of seven churches within the network, Elworth, Ettiley Heath, Haslington, Oakhanger, Unity, Wesley Place, and Winterley, could work more collaboratively together.

Rev Rob Hilton, Circuit Superintendent and Minister of Wesley Place in Alsager and Oakhanger Methodist Churches, took a question-and-answer session after the presentation.
