An Alsager pub near the town's railway station has announced it has new faces behind the bar.

Kaz Williams and Brian Jones have taken over the running of The Railway Inn in Audley Road.

And even though they have been given a warm welcome from regulars and visitors, they are still feeling the chill!

For the couple had been living in Spain for six years but decided to come back to the area to manage a pub.

The popular Railway Inn in Audley Road dates back to 1835

Kaz and Brian have been at the pub for around a week and say they have received a warm welcome.

"Alsager people are very friendly and it's a lovely place to be and a great community," said Kaz who ran a pub in Chesterton previously.

"It's taking a bit to get used to the UK weather though. It is chilly," said Kaz, who was living in Murcia before heading back to the UK.

The couple say they will continue the pub's proven recipe for success, including acoustic nights on Tuesdays.

"It's a great pub and has some good entertainment and is well liked," said Kaz.

"We're looking forward to the months to come and will just head back to Spain for holidays."
