Meet the Alsager air cadet who is flying high for the county

Alsager air cadets are celebrating – after one of their cadets was picked for a prestigious position in the county.
Eighteen year old Cadet Flight Sergeant Lucy Chadwick has been appointed HM Lord Lieutenant Cadet for Cheshire 2022 – 2023.
And the talented member of 2493 (Alsager) Squadron Air Training Corps who meet in Moorhouse Avenue is attending a formal presentation in Chester on Tuesday (July 12th).
Flight Sergeant Chadwick was selected after interview by Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Lady Redmond MBE.
Cadet Flight Sergeant Chadwick will start her new duties on September 1st.
2493 (Alsager) Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Chris Hearnshaw said: "It's a massive achievement and Lucy has worked very hard.
"She is a role model for what young women can achieve today. This is a first for Alsager and we couldn't be happier.
"Lucy is an amazing individual – always cheerful and helpful and always going the extra mile. We've absolutely delighted for her."
