Meet 11-year-old Marci Brown whose hair-raising talents are putting her on the map.
For the bubbly dance-loving girl has spent the last six months using her finely-tuned hairdressing skills to raise money for other children using the tag, 'Braiding for Pudsey'.
Marci is a dab hand when it comes to plaiting hair, a skill she learnt as a five-year-old watching her favourite Disney film, Rapunzel.
She has set up a website here and Instagram page here with the help of her dad and this week drummed up more support by spending two days at Clarity & Radiance Beauty salon in Lawton Road, Alsager plaiting hair.
She said: "I just love braiding hair. I can do it with my eyes closed. It's something I enjoy doing."
Mum, Laura Evans, said Marci, who recently finished Smallwood School near Sandbach and starts Alsager School next month (September), came up with the idea after watching BBC Children in Need.
"She asked us what she could do to help other children. She's always been good at braiding hair - it started watching the Rapunzel film on TV when she was little," said Laura.
"We're so proud of her. She's doing so well and really enjoys it. People even come to our house to have their hair braided. All the money goes to BBC Children in Need."
Marci offers a range of braiding services from duck braids to French plait and fishtail and the fun doesn't stop there. Customers can also add hair chalk, glitter and even bows to their stylish looks.
Sixteen-year-old Ella Reid from Alsager , who starts Cheshire College South & West next month, was delighted with her new look thanks to Marci.
"I'd heard about her and as I come to the salon decided to book in. I love what she's done."
Claire Beresford who runs Clarity & Radiance Beauty salon with colleague Rachel Fox said: "We kept seeing all these lovely posts about Marci and said it would be great for her to come in and use our space for a couple of days.
"We put it on our Facebook page and people started booking in. We've got passing custom so thought it would be great to help Marci out."
